"The most amazing artistic landscape that I have ever witnessed first hand. I can say no more, see them if you can . . . it changed the way that I will view art from here on out" GlideMagazine, Josh Klemmons

Spawned from the depths of San Francisco's thriving Dance and Circus sub-cultures, the Vau de Vire Society has ravaged and titillated the live entertainment scene causing jaws to drop in awe and admiration around the Bay Area and beyond. This Avant-Cabaret community consists of classically-trained dancers, some of the nations most acclaimed acrobats, aerial artists, contortionists, side-show acts and a live orchestra. The group has been cross-pollinating genres by collaborating with an eclectic variety of world-renowned musicians and Dj's in creating original stage shows and festival productions spanning social barriers. Most notable recent collaborators include Cirque du Soleil, San Francisco Symphony, Paul Oakenfold, The Dresden Dolls, Peaches, The Alkaline Trio, Fishbone, The Madd Vibe Orchestra, Crystal Method and many more widely respected international artists.

Vau De Vire will perform their new "all-ages" show during the afternoon "Tales of Enchantement" show.

PAMPA (www.pampans.com) A

Dance form: BHARATHA NATYAM. This song is written by Poet Kanakadaasa, in 15th century. Choreographed by Nirmala Madhavaa.

This composition on the Hindu god Krishna is in the Kannada language by the famous Indian poet Kanakadasa. In this song, the poet invites little Krishna to his house, describes his beautiful face, the flashing rings on his fingers and the bells on his anklets. The song features the story of Kanakadasa, a great devotee of Lord Krishna. The orthodox Brahmins would not allow Kanakadasa to enter the temple as he is considered untouchable. Kanakadasa ardently prays to God in front of the back wall of the temple. Lord Krishna?s statue inside the temple dramatically turns his back on the praying Brahmins and faces Kanakadasa thus glorifying Kanakadasa's devotion..

Theatre Artists' Conspiracy A

San Francisco's was conceived by Ellen Koivisto and Gene Thompson as a group of playwrights, actors, and directors creating new plays. One of TAC's first productions was Koivisto's play Rosabelle-answer-tell, which was part of the Bay One-Acts Festival in 2001. Since that time, TAC playwrights have been well represented in the BOA Festival, the BOA Italia Festival in Bologna, Italy, as well as the San Francisco Fringe Festival. TAC produced its own Café Project, featuring new plays by local writers at the Canvas Café 2001 through 2003. Claudia Barr's The Woman Who Flummoxed the Fairies was developed in TAC's playwrights' group and the playwright thanks everyone who contributed to the fun.
